Type a command, read the answer, and see that an error is just a message.

What we’ll open up.

Type a command, read the answer, and see that an error is just a message. This lesson follows the actual choices behind Tidelight.

Step by step

Remember

echo hello prints hello back. That's a command and its answer.
Type it wrong (lss) and you get command not found. Nothing is broken; fix the typo.
Up arrow brings back your last command. Control and C stops anything that's running.

Do this now

Run echo hello, then make a mistake on purpose and read the error.
