What we’ll open up.
Every file lives in a folder. A path is the address of a folder, written out. This lesson follows the actual choices behind Tidelight.
Step by step
Remember
- Your home folder is written ~ (a tilde). ~/games means the games folder inside it.
- pwd shows where you are, ls lists what's there, cd moves you somewhere else.
- Drag a folder from Finder into the Terminal and it types the path for you.
Do this now
Run pwd, then ls, and compare the list with your home folder in Finder.
